Senior journalist and Charsadda Press Club Secretary Ehsan Sherpao, along with three others, was shot dead on Tuesday after a row at a jirga meeting.
The meeting was being chaired by Sherpao. A person was also injured in the incident.
The suspect, Syed Jamal, was also attending the meeting to settle the family dispute. Jamal fled after opening fire on the attendees of the meeting. According to Charsadda District Police Officer (DPO) Irfanullah, Ehsan’s killer was a drug addict and had previously killed his wife and killed his mother, his sister in law, his nephew and Ehsan, who was his cousin.
