LAHORE – The Lahore High Court on Thursday ordered the provincial government to file reply against the petition seeking directions for free education at the Aitchison College, till May 25, Daily Times has learnt.
Petitioner Syed Feroze Shah Gillani argued the government was constitutionally obliged to provide free education to the students, but the Aitcheson College was not fulfilling this national duty.
He said that Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana was the head of the college but even then it was not providing free education, which was a violation of the constitution
