LAHORE – A fire broke out at the library of the Kinnaird College on Monday morning due to short circuit, according to initial report.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out around 10am. The rescue and police teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident. All present students and other staff members recovered safely, a rescue official said. Besides students and college staff, parents also rushed to the scene and inquired about the incident as well as monitored the rescue operation.
No casualty or serious injury to anyone was reported till the filing of this report. Currently, it is not clear whether anyone was inside the library building at the time of the fire or how the fire started. The library acquires high-quality instructional and other learning materials to its ever-increasing users and to get the measure of growing needs for research and teaching at the university.
