ISLAMABAD: Last two days remain to file assets under the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) tax amnesty scheme. The scheme is valid till June 30.
The FBR spokesperson earlier said that the deadline to avail the tax amnesty scheme has been declared in the Finance Bill and will not be extended. The FBR itself lacks the authority to make any changes to the deadline.
The tax authority has collected the revenue worth up to Rs47 billion under the amnesty scheme.
While challans worth Rs107 billion have been prepared by individuals and are expected to be transferred to the account of FBR by today evening.
Earlier this year, April 10, 2018, the tax amnesty scheme came into effect and stays valid till June 30, 2018. The tax amnesty scheme was announced by the PML-N government.
