ISLAMABAD: National Democratic Foundation (NDF) Chairman Kanwar M Dilshad presented a comprehensive report on electoral reforms to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) during a meeting on November 10 at ECP Secretariat, Islamabad.
The NDF’s report covers broad spectrum requirements for electoral reforms which were already shared time to time with political stakeholders and ECP. It is pertinent to mention that most of the reforms are being extracted from time to time input by Kanwar Dilshad and part of this comprehensive report.
ECP Acting Secretary Fida Muhammad chaired the meeting and praised the NDF’s cooperation and assured his full support to meet the aspirations of all stakeholders concerned for democratic governance in Pakistan. During the session, ECP team also shared progress on various initiatives being taken for the success of upcoming general election 2018, was applauded by the delegation of National Democratic Foundation (NDF), comprised of Kanwar Dilshad, Kanwar Javed Iqbal, Sohail Kisat and Zahid Khan. ECP officials Zafar Iqbal (additional secretary), Khizar Aziz (DG IT), Suriya Jamal (DG PR), Ishaq Bajwa (ADG elections) and Nighat (ADG training) attended the meeting.
